Notes:

The Fairbanks-Morse introduced enclosed carbody disel locomotives, produced to compete with the EMD E and ALCO PA units, were dubbed the Erie-builts because they were assembled at the General Electric plant in Erie, PA. This was because Fairbanks-Morse lacked the necessary space at their own facilities.
