(1) CatSynth says:

The foreground is quite realistic, with the light and vegetation.
Indeed, I was so focused that I did not see the background in the first viewing.

Nice! I love the wooden bridge.

I appreciate the industrial look of this model. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a cool shot. I really like the bridge and trestle design. :D

(5) keiths images says:

If it wasn’t for the person in the background you would believe this was a full size locomotive. Another cracking picture.

Another wonderful model. It looks so realistic Randall

Excellent! It’s so interesting to see what people do with their talents!

(8) Michelle Gartner says:

They did really good on the bridge. Terry my #3 has been sitting up stairs today pausing Thomas so he can sketch him. He does real well for four years old. Watched Addams family last week for Halloween and I forgot Gomez was a model train man… how could I forget since I love trains and Gomez.

(10) Sukhmandir Kaur says:

It’s a great shot. Looks like a silver bullet streaking by LOL Seeing folks in the background, it looks about the size of a kiddie ride train?

(11) Annie says:

So neat. I really love the bridge in this picture - it reminds me of New England, and home!

(13) Stan says:

Nice picture. Looks the UP locomotive they run around the country for PR purposes. Can’t think of its number right now, but it’s huge and makes lots of fire and smoke.

(14) SandyCarlson says:

I swear I can hear and smell the train in the foreground. So very realistic, Randall!

(16) Allison says:

Very cool! I like the person in the background :)

(17) Kallie says:

OK, so spill the beans, Randall - how big is this train?! It’s not a little Lionel set, right?

October 12, 2008 at 12:00 am
(18) Randall says:

That’s a G scale train. It’s significantly larger than Lionel’s O scale offerings. While not quite the size of a “kiddie ride” I’d estimate the articulated steam locomotive at around three feet in length.

October 12, 2008 at 10:01 pm
(19) Kallie says:

Ohhh… So it would break if we tried to ride on it, then.

That’s too bad.

Thanks for the info, though, Randall!

I get to ride a regular T train four or five times a week now, but it still seems like it would be fun to ride on the one in the picture.
