Setting Up Three-Rail Model Railroad Track

Connect Your Track Pieces

Because you're in three-rail O scale, your track's rails may be tubular or rectangular. If you have tubular rails, the joiners are pins that fit inside the ends of the tubes. Otherwise, they tongue and groove ends of the rails. Make sure that the joiners are properly mated when you connect the track pieces. In three-rail O scale systems this is usually easy to do. Two rail systems using clip-type joiners are more problematic.
