Assembling Your First Train Set

It's the moment you've been waiting for!

Carefully place the locomotive on the track. Some sets include a special section of track called a rerailer to make this easier.

Make sure the speed control is turned down, plug in the power supply and turn it on. Run the locomotive at a slow speed for a few laps to check all the joints. Reverse the direction and try again.

If all is well, you can start adding cars. Place each car on the rails and couple the train together carefully. Make a few more laps to ensure all the cars track well and stay coupled.

Now that you know everything works, if you have more track you can begin the rest of your empire. Remember to turn off and unplug the power supply before you make any changes. It is also a good idea to remove the train for safe keeping while you build.

If you aren't running yet, let's do some troubleshooting.
