Notes:

The E6 locomotive was the sixth in EMD's E Unit series of enclosed body, covered wagon style passenger diesel electric locomotives. Like the other early E units the E6 engine is a "slant nose" model. Manufacture of the first E6 locomotives were completed before the first stainless steel clad E5.
