Slide the socket and wiring through the hole. The socket will be a loose fit in the hole. You can apply a little white glue to help secure it if desired.
If you're installing in finished scenery and chipped away too much material when drilling the hole, you can fill in any gaps at this time.
You can apply scenic material around the base at any time. Avoid getting materials into the socket. You can use tape or the manhole cover detail supplied with the light.
