The open-grid platform is designed to be attached to the bottom of the support structure for storage and transportation. The support doubles as a protective storage container when the layout is not under construction or on display.

The platform is attached to the lower frame of the support with eight bolts.

Hardware List:

  • 3/8" x 2.5" Hex Bolts (8)
  • 3/8" Hex Nuts (8)
  • 5/16" Washers (16)

Laying Out the Bolts

Place the platform beneath the support. Use scraps of masonite to replicate the fascia for proper spacing and alignment.

Use a pair of clamps to hold the platform and support frames together near the locations of the holes.

Drill 3/8" holes through both frames. Holes are centered on the frames 10 inches from the corners on the ends and about 24 inches from the corners on the sides.
