How about a black flatcar for Black Friday?

Dressed in black, hopefully this car will shine in Conrail colors again soon.

This car originally belonged to the Pennsylvania Railroad, their class F41, and then served the Penn Central and Conrail before being retired around 1996. Its previous owner painted the car solid black, obscuring the historical markings.
The car is now owned by the Conrail Historical Society. Research has already revealed several Conrail paint schemes worn by the car. The organization hopes to begin repainting the flatcar next spring. To learn more about them and the rest of their preservation efforts, check out www.thecrhs.com.
