The Australian Model Railway Association held it's annual Sydney Model Railway Exhibition this past weekend. This is a show that I've always wanted to see. But then Australia is a country I've always wanted to visit.

For those of us who weren't able to make the journey, David Bromage, webmaster for the Canberra Monaro N Scale Group, has posted a gallery of images from the Sydney Exhibition. I love seeing what our friends down under are able to accomplish. Particularly since I've been given to understand that modeling materials are much harder to come by down there, so there's a lot of innovation with the use of household materials.

I sure wish I could have been there. And if I had been in Sydney for the exhibition the past three days, I'd be completing the vacation by spending the next three days crossing the Australian Continent on The Great Southern Railway's Indian Pacific from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean.
