I’m starting to get jealous of your gig. Many of the layouts you share look just like places I’ve either been or would like to see.

(5) Jean at Penny Lane says:

Hi Randall! How is it going this week?
Gee, you made it as #2 on the WW list!
I am 112, sounds like an engine number huh?

As always, a great work of art all those tunnels, mind you the electric work on the rails.

Hope you can stop by mine.
Have a great day.

(6) BK says:

This one looks very good. It looks almost like the real thing. In fact for the first 5 seconds I was asking myself if it is real.

(9) Sukhmandir Kaur says:

The cliffs looks so realistic! Reminds me of either its the Knotsberry farm or Disney land train ride. Is’s been so long i can’t remember which, just kind of takes me half way back ;)

(14) Nancy says:

Excellent layout and photo! I am kind of glad it’s only a model train - I would be nervous on such a high bridge. What if a rock fell on the tracks?

Very cool picture! Trains are awesome.

July 23, 2008 at 10:34 am

Uh oh … is this an accident waiting to happen or a near miss? Your models are so realistic! Well done … and thanks for dropping by Small Reflections. I’m so far behind on blog visits from the past week that I may never catch up, but I’m doing my best and am relieved that NEXT week I won’t have PSE6 classes so catching up may be possible ;–)
Hugs and blessings,

(26) Kallie / Asian History says:

OK, this is my favorite one of your posts yet! I love the ponderosa pines up on the ridge.

So, one train is coming and one is going, right? This isn’t one of those “moments before catastrophe” shots?

July 23, 2008 at 4:33 pm
(27) Randall says:

As two have asked, no this isn’t an impending train wreck. One is stopped while the other passes.

By the way, this is Z scale. That means the locomotives are approximately the size of a pack of gum.

July 23, 2008 at 4:36 pm
(28) Gabriel says:

A beautiful picture! I like this site very much, you always post great photos!

Thanks for dropping by.

Hi Randall- thanks for coming by my blog and the kind words about my Dad. My son has been to your blog several times he loves the trains. That would be son #3- I am hoping we can make it to Day Out With Thomas again this year- some of the model trains there are great.

July 23, 2008 at 5:51 pm
(30) Charlie says:

Gorgeous shot as always… but is it my imagination, or are those trains about to collide?

Is this one from the Addams Family collection?

Very cool. I can easily imagine myself in one of these trains.

July 23, 2008 at 8:14 pm
(37) Tim says:

This just reminds me how much I prefer miniatures to CG effects in movies — there’s just a tactile realness that miniatures have that computer FX just can’t replicate. Great photo.

July 23, 2008 at 8:33 pm
(38) milet says:

this picture made me imagine that the one taking the picture is on the edge of the cliff, and will just one wrong move will..you know. morbid! lol!

but the picture looks great really.

thanks for the visit
